Andrea Nadeau21 December 2023I contact Sebastien for a labour rights issue within the RCMP. Before even doing a consult and paying a retainer Sebastien was ready to step up and help. At the beginning things moved very fast. He did not hesitate to help out and provide advice. He was compassionate and considerate to my needs and my issue. This has continued on. I have been working with Sebastien for almost a year now and it appears as if my case might be a long process. He has always been nothing but kind and quick to respond to my questions. He makes you feel as if your case is his only case and he truly cares about your wellbeing. I chose Sebastien due to his reputation and recommendations from other RCMP colleagues. He is well known within the RCMP as someone who stands up for what is right. The RCMP can be an extremely confusing organization and it is comforting knowing he is so knowledgeable and trustworthy. Rin de Kleer10 December 2023I had set up a consultation so I could go over a sketchy looking employee contract; seeing that it directly said on the website that the legal-ese terms could be simplified making for an easier time with communication and understanding during the appointment I thought "sure, why not? Better than getting more confused." Thanks to Sebastian, I was able to get a much better understanding on my contract and had felt comfortable enough to recommend another coworker who needed the same services. Both of us are quite happy with the results- and thanks to Sebastian- we both avoided a very nasty contract. Todd Briggs12 October 2023I went to Labour Rights Law to get advice and services on a Human rights complaint related to disability. They gave me an initial free consultation where I was impressed with their insight and advice on how to proceed. They advised me on how to interact with the human rights tribunal. When my former employer tried to circumnavigate the Human rights process and filed an action to dismiss my complaint in BC Supreme court. They represented me in court and made some very convincing legal arguments to have the employers petition dismissed. The court decided in our favor which resulted in giving us a good bargaining position for a settlement with my former employer. They provided great support along the whole way in this process. They were very understanding of the impact of the costs and our budget and helped us make key decisions on where to spend money and where not to. Overall they reduced the stress that we had. paul milne4 January 2022My story is one of Worksafe woes, I contracted a disease while working which ended up in a very serious hospital stay and lasting health effects which were life changing. Worksafe denied any claim stating there was zero evidence that my workplace was the cause of the injury. Two years and multiple reviews, with the assistance of my union and a consultant, were getting me nowhere. Worksafe continued to deny any claim or assess fault. Thankfully my union engaged the services of Anthony Moffatt, as noted by other reviewers, Anthony listened, cared and worked extremely hard to assist me. He was able to locate a disease specialist who concluded that not only did I contract the disease through work but I was many times more likely to catch it due to the type of work I was doing and the environment I was doing it in. Without the extensive work, experience and knowledge of Anthony, I know I would still be sitting without any coverage at all. As it turned out, I was finally approved for coverage after two and half years and after three years was able to return to work without limitations. Steve Carter20 August 2020I would like to start this review to say that Labour Rights has changed my life in the best way possible and protected me from a very from grim outlook before coming into contact with their firm. They have not only protected my long term financial outlook for my family who depend on me after a substantial workplace accident. They have done this placing a strategic plans in place to obtain the best outcome for you. From the first time I met with the Labour Rights I attended with my wife and union representative. I was exhausted and fatigued of being contacted by different insurance adjusters and in a bad mental state of mind due to the fatigue and stress of the unknown. I had tried my best but was not advised properly and wished that I had gotten their representation earlier. The owner Sebestian Anderson and new legal "Rockstar" Anthony Moffatt carefully listened to my story and concerns in great depth in their beautiful and calm conference room.
